A Valley company that still answers its own phone

MG’s started in Tulare in 2011 with a simple rule: if you’re not comfortable, we’re not comfortable. 15 years and a fleet of vans later, the rule hasn’t changed, and neither has the owner.

“We started this company with one goal: to provide honest, dependable HVAC service and be there when our community needs us most. I’m personally involved in every project, meeting with customers, providing estimates, and making sure the job is done right, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. Our customers appreciate knowing they’re working directly with the owner, not being passed from salesperson to technician. We treat every home like it’s our own, and every customer like family.”

Miguel Guerra, Owner

Miguel’s story

Miguel Guerra earned his C-20 HVAC license on April 28, 2011 and opened MG’s Air Conditioning & Heating out of Tulare. The early years were swamp-cooler conversions, rooftop package units and a lot of late-night summer phone calls. The business grew the way Valley businesses grow: one neighbor recommending us to the next.

Today the shop sits at 754 N Gateway St in Visalia with a crew of technicians you’ll see named in our reviews: Eddie, Manuel, Matthew, and Maria keeping the office running. Miguel is still on job sites every week, still quoting installs himself, and still the person who picks up when a customer calls back a year later.

What we believe

  • Fix it first. Replace it only when replacing is genuinely the better deal.
  • Flat, written prices before the work starts. No surprises on the invoice.
  • Every install sized to the actual house, permitted, and inspected.
  • No emergency-pricing gouging. A Saturday-night call costs what it should.
  • Spanish and English, both fluent, on the phone and on the job.
  • Treat the customer’s house like our own and leave it clean.

Equipment that gets the job done

We run our own crane truck with 130 feet of reach, so rooftop package units on shops, offices and two-story homes go up without a subcontractor and without the wait. Our vans carry the capacitors, contactors, motors and refrigerant that Valley systems burn through, which is why most repair calls finish the same visit.
